Special Entertainment Pastor Gerald D. Purify, Sr., and wife, Dr. Betty Purify, are the founder
of Breakthrough Ministry in San Luis Obispo California in 2008. Pastor Gerald is a licensed ordained Elder through the Church of God in Christ and Dr. Betty Purify is a District Missionary and Prayer coordinator. Gerald and Betty met at Cal Poly State University in 1980, married in 1982, have 8 children (which includes 2 nieces and 2 nephews), 21 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 13 god-children. They both have a love for ministering in song and spreading the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Pastor Gerald celebrates one year of retirement after working 36 and a half years for the California
Department of Corrections as a Correctional Otticer. They have traveled in missions to Nairobi Kenya, ministered in the California State Prisons, State Hospitals and California Youth Authority for over 35 years, participated in multiple community events, serves in children’s and vouth ministry and overseen camp Breakthrough, and provided church services at the convalescent care facilities for the elderly. Pastor Gerald currently volunteers for food bank pick-up and distribution throughout the Central Coast to the needy, and Betty currently works as a Professional Psychologist. They both visit the hospitals and pray for the sick. The goal – to hear Jesus
