Effective Leaders Have Two Important Characteristics

We often have music at our meetings

What are the key characteristics of effective leaders? First, they have a vision. Second, they are able to persuade others to join in that vision.

Some of our meetings feature live music: dig these cats on congas at the NAACP SLO County welcome barbecue

Where are we going? How are we going to get there? Well, my brothers and sisters, the way has been charted for 108 years and the path is well worn, wide, and well used. We have the organizational structure in place, the committee heads are functioning, our teams are forming and connecting, and our mission is before us.

One for the money, two for the show, three to get ready and LETS GO! GO! GO!

The community needs what we have to offer: liberty, freedom, and justice for all. The world needs people who will stand FOR TRUTH AND FREEDOM in the face of hatred, bigotry, racism, sexism, ageism, LGBTQ attacks, war, rape, violence, unjust prison systems, genocide, and all the oppressive systems the world has to offer us.

We are the game changers, the bearer of the light of caring and standing together “Steadfast and Immovable” as one people for the rights of all people.

IF NOT YOU, THEN WHO…
IF NOT NOW, THEN WHEN…

It is time to make a commitment to take action and make a difference in our community. Your time and energy are needed. “Together we can change San Luis Obispo County, and from San Luis Obispo County we can change the world.”
